AccuTOF™ GCv 4G with high speed, high resolving power and high mass accuracy.
Features
High throughput analysis with Fast GC

These are chromatograms of 100 pesticide components. In the Fast GC analysis (top right), the system acquired data while maintaining chromatogram separation in less than 1/4 of the time needed for the conventional analysis (bottom right). The 50 spectra/second high speed data acquisition system enables high throughput analysis.
Highly reliable elemental composition determination

High mass accuracy with good reproducibility is acquired, allowing for highly reliable elemental composition determination.
Wider mass range!

The mass spectrum acquired from poly(styrene) 4000 using FD ionization shows ions at m/z 5500 or higher. The AccuTOF™ GCv 4G is effective for polymer analysis in the oligomer range in addition to GC/MS analysis. For FD ionization, the system is capable of completing the anaysis within 1 minute.
EI/FI/FD combination ion source (optional)
JEOL's unique ion source combining EI, FI, and FD ionization allows for GC/EI, GC/FI, and FD analysis without changing the ion source. The single ion source supports highly productive analysis without breaking the vacuum.

Qualitative analysis combining EI and FI

The EI mass spectrum allows for library search. The elemental composition of fragment ions results in structural information. Meanwhile, molecular ions detected in FI suggest the molecular weight and elemental composition. By combining the information resulting from EI and FI, one can achieve highly accurate qualitative analysis without relying solely on library search. The combined technique is effective in qualitative analysis of unknown components such as impurities.
FI and FD ionization techniques

This is a soft ionization technique applicable to volatile samples. Molecular ions of fluorine compounds that are prone to fragmentation were detected as well.

Information on molecular weight was rapidly acquired from nonvolatile ionic liquid.
