Tips for EPMA analysis. How to select the X-rays and analytical crystals

Release Date: 2025/06/18

Recent Electron Probe Microanalyzers (EPMAs) have an auto function that automatically selects the optimal X-ray, analysing crystal and channel for analysis based on the selected element. However, an understanding of the characteristics of analytical X-rays and spectroscopic crystals, as well as the differences in their measurement results, is necessary in order to confirm the accuracy of the automatically selected conditions. This seminar will examine how analytical results can differ depending on the accelerating voltage setting and the choice of analytical X-rays.

This seminar will be held on the web. You can participate not only from your PC, but also from your smartphone or tablet, as long as you have access to the web. We look forward to your participation.

By attending this webinar you will learn…

  • Accelerating voltage and X-ray excitation

  • How to select analytical X-rays

  • How to select analysing crystals

Who should attend?

  • EPMA analysis beginners

  • People interested in EPMA analysis

  • People interested in analytical X-rays selection for EPMA analysis
