Connect function
This issue of Delta Tips relates to Data Slate. The Connect function enables you, for example, to synchronize X and/or Y scales among multiple spectra. This is very useful in order to compare several spectra of one sample recorded under different experimental conditions or to compare spectra of different samples. We will demonstrate Connect X, Connect All and Connect Features below.
1. Connect X (to synchronize the horizontal axis)
Select Options – Connect X. Then zoom one spectrum as you wish (e.g. 0-180 ppm). Note that the remaining two spectra have also been adjusted accordingly.
2. Connect All (to synchronize the horizontal and vertical axes)
Select Options – Connect ALL. Then zoom one spectrum as you wish (e.g. 6.7-8.3 ppm). Note that the remaining two spectra have also been adjusted accordingly.
3. Connect Features (to synchronize properties)
This function allows you to display/undisplay chemical shifts, integrals, axes and other features either in all spectra or in some of them. As default, this function is on.
① To turn off the Connect Features function, unselect Options – Connect Features.
② Click inside the blue box and hit the Alt and X keys to undisplay X-axis.
③ Then click inside the red box and hit the Alt and X keys to undisplay X-axis.
∗ To display/undisplay chemical shifts, hit the Alt and P keys.
∗ To display/undisplay vertical axis, hit the Alt and Y keys.
