The key to successful 13C CPMAS measurement: magic angle adjustment
NM080008E
We briefly show the effect of magic-angle adjustment on 13C CPMAS spectra. Remind that precise magic-angle adjustment is the key to successful measurements of standard CPMAS experiments. Even a small deviation from magic-angle causes broadening due to chemical shift anisotropy. This broadening results in decreasing of both the resolution and the sensitivity. Daily adjustment by KBr(79Br), glycine(13C), or alanine (13C), ensures high-quality CPMAS spectra for us.
