The results of a joint research project have been published in "The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters"

Release Date: 2026/02/25

A novel method for high-resolution 1H NMR observation of NH moieties in rigid solids has been developed through a collaboration between TIFR Hyderabad, Charles University, and JEOL Ltd. The method is published in "The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters".
Although NH groups are fundamental in chemistry, their 1H NMR resolution suffers from 1H-14N couplings, which are difficult to decouple. The new method achieves high-resolution spectra by applying a low-power, amplitude-modulated 14N decoupling scheme at a fast MAS rate of 70 kHz. This research was a joint effort led by TIFR Hyderabad and JEOL Ltd.
